About the role#
This position supports the Director of Communications by creating visual content to promote Mission Waco. You will work across various programs to capture and edit media that highlights the organization's impact. This is an on-site role requiring travel to different program locations.
What you'll do#
- Capture photos and record videos at Mission Waco programs, events, and interviews.
- Edit photos and videos for use on social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram.
- Assist with collaborative projects involving external community service partners.
- Manage multiple content projects across different facets of the organization.
What you'll need#
- Current eligibility for Federal Work-Study.
- Experience in photography and videography, including the ability to operate a DSLR or 4K camera.
- Proficiency in editing software such as Canva and Adobe Premiere.
- Familiarity with social media posting and management.
- Reliable transportation to reach off-campus sites.
- A flexible approach and the ability to work well with others.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or Art.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week with flexible working hours.
- Compensation: $11.00 to $12.50 per hour, depending on student status and skill level.
