About the role#
The Marketing and Communications Assistant supports the Animal Birth Control Clinic by creating visual content and managing outreach efforts. This position is open to students pursuing degrees in Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or Public Health who are interested in community service and animal welfare. You will work closely with the leadership team to share the clinic's story through photography, video, and social media.
What you'll do#
- Capture engaging photos and videos at the clinic, in the community, and during special events.
- Build and maintain a photo and video library for use in print and digital marketing materials.
- Manage the clinic's social media calendar and assist in creating content for campaigns and events.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines to maintain a consistent look and feel.
- Assist with various community service projects and outreach tasks.
What you'll need#
- Must have Federal Work-Study awarded through Financial Aid.
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Experience with photography and video editing for social media and websites.
- Proficiency with Canva or similar design tools and familiarity with Google Suite.
- Strong writing and speaking skills with high attention to detail.
- A professional, proactive, and self-motivated attitude.

- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Modality: Hybrid, with up to 15 hours per week available remotely.
- Term: Summer 2026 and Fall 2026.
- Compensation: Paid position.
