About the role#
The C.A.R.E.S PAID Fellowship is a one-year program designed to provide hands-on experience in behavioral health and social services. Fellows work directly with youth aged 12-20 while receiving professional development and mentorship. The program includes a mix of focused training days and on-site clinical work.
What you'll do#
- Train across four different youth-serving intensive programs, including emergency shelter and independent living settings.
- Participate in a weekly didactic seminar covering topics like developmental milestones, behavioral management, and trauma treatment.
- Provide face-to-face clinical hours with youth.
- Complete certifications in Crisis Prevention Intervention and the Medication Administration Program.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a human services field such as Psychology, Human Resources, Public Health, or Nursing.
- A commitment to the one-year training term.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass CORI, SORI, and DEEC background checks, including fingerprinting.
