About the role#
We are hiring a Counselor Intern to support our clinical team in Las Vegas. This position involves direct client care, including case management and group therapy sessions. You will work under supervision while completing your certification requirements.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and provide individualized case management and bio-psychosocial assessments.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions for clients.
- Communicate with referral sources and other service providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Act as a liaison with the Utilization Review department regarding client care.
- Attend weekly 1:1 supervision sessions to support your professional development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program for Drug and Alcohol counseling certification from an accredited institution.
- Academic background in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or Human Resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Two years of experience in a substance abuse environment is preferred.
