About the role#
The Student Employee at the Mukwa Health & Fitness Center supports the daily operations of the facility. This part-time position offers hands-on experience in fitness center management and guest services while supporting the mission of Bay Mills Community College.
What you'll do#
- Assist guests with membership services and enrollment.
- Perform office duties, including answering and directing telephone calls and maintaining files.
- Learn and uphold all facility policies and procedures.
- Assist with the planning, implementation, setup, and cleanup of programs and activities.
- Complete light equipment management and cleaning tasks.
- Attend mandatory training sessions as required.
What you'll need#
- Must be a degree-seeking student at Bay Mills Community College.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Be enrolled in at least 6 credits for the semester.
- Maintain attendance of 70% or higher in all classes.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and work with others to move equipment exceeding 200 pounds.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with diverse populations.
