About the role#
Baxter & Woodman is hiring a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for our Houston and Katy, Texas offices. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work alongside graduate and professional engineers to support our environmental and construction groups.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the evaluation, study, and design of water and wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, and pumping stations.
- Help manage and inspect storm water ponds.
- Calculate quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits and perform field inspections.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Availability to start in May 2027.
- Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Own transportation and the ability to travel throughout the Houston area.
