About the role#
Baxter & Woodman offers a summer internship for students interested in water and wastewater infrastructure. You will work in our Houston or Katy offices alongside professional engineers. This role supports our environmental and construction teams through hands-on design and field work.
What you'll do#
- Help engineers evaluate, study, and design water and wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, and pumping stations.
- Assist with the management and inspection of storm water ponds.
- Calculate cost estimates and quantity takeoffs.
- Conduct site visits and field inspections.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year Civil or Environmental Engineering degree program.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Availability to start in May 2027.
- Reliable transportation to travel to sites throughout the Houston area.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in either Houston or Katy, Texas.
- The hourly pay for this position is $23.00.
