About the role#
We are looking for a Transportation Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. You will work with our transportation department to plan and design various facilities. This position offers hands-on experience within a project team.
What you'll do#
- Perform plan reviews and prepare project plans.
- Use CAD software for design tasks.
- Conduct quantity computations and traffic analysis.
- Assist with data collection and field surveys.
- Support construction inspection efforts.
What you'll need#
- Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering.
- Ability to start in May 2027.
- Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable personal transportation to travel throughout our service area.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is available in Bannockburn, Chicago, Crystal Lake, Naperville, and Mokena, Illinois.
- Work modality includes on-site and hybrid options.
- We do not offer visa sponsorship for this position.
