About the role#
This paid internship offers hands-on experience within our transportation department. You will support the planning and design of various transportation facilities while working alongside our design team. This role is available for the Summer 2027 term and can be performed on-site or in a hybrid capacity.
What you'll do#
- Perform plan reviews and prepare project plans
- Use CAD software for design tasks
- Compute project quantities
- Conduct traffic analysis and collect project data
- Assist with field surveys and construction inspection
What you'll need#
- Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering
- Availability to start in May 2027
- Ability to travel throughout the service area using your own transportation
- Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
