Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY:The Electrical Engineering Co-Op students will take part in projects that cover all phases of the New Product Development (NPD) process from early conception to prototype development.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Tests electrical appliances to collect data for use in system designs.Completes electrical specification documents as per component tests.Works with team members to create the specifications for the electrical system design.Creates 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) models for electrical components.Generates 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of the electrical system and components.Conducts bench top electrical tests to collect data.Works with Electrical Engineering to develop electrical systems.Uses electrical tools such as O-Scopes, Multi-Meters, Power Supplies.Participates in design reviews.Works with cross-functional team members.ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNEDEXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Degree Required: Enrolled in a four-year degree majoring in either Electrical Engineering or Electrical DesignPreferred Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineeringExperience: Junior or senior level design students KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelAbility to work independently and with cross-functional team members2D and 3D CAD programsAutoCAD, Zuken, E3, or Catia 3D software, preferredSkills required to use bench top electrical test equipmentTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:This position is located within a comfortable office environment at White River Marine Group Headquarters in Springfield, MO.
