Description: POSITION PURPOSE This position is located at our Headquarters building in Bismarck, ND. This position is for the summer months of 2027 (approximately May 17, 2027 through August 20, 2027). This is a temporary position that assists the Electrical Engineering section at headquarters. The incumbent must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.ESSENTIAL DUTIES Assist with the development of technical drawings to improve troubleshooting. Verify as built conditions and subsequent drawing updates. Assist engineering staff on project assignments. Generate tracking reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Support the annual Family Night event, including setup, participation, and cleanup, as part of departmental responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Be at least 18 years of age. Be enrolled as a full-time student in a four-year Electrical Engineering (EAC/ABET accredited) program with Sophomore year completed, or recent graduate (within the past 12 months). Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Hold a valid driver’s license. Did you attach your transcript to this application? This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may allow physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber related assets or systems. PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS This position requires frequent sitting, and standing/walking; and occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, use of keyboard/computer, bending/reaching, kneeling, lifting/carring up to 50 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. This position occasionally may work in conditions of dirt/dust, fumes, chemicals, extreme heat/cold, vibration, noise, poor ventilation, electrical risks, and confined areas. This position requires good hearing and vision, and the ability to speak. It also requires the ability to develop plans, procedures and goals; present information to others; and work under stress to complete projects within deadlines. This position may need to be respirator qualified. Occasional travel may be required. KEY SKILLS Effective written and verbal communication skills.
