About the role#
This summer internship offers an opportunity to work with the Electrical Engineering section at our headquarters in Bismarck. You will assist the engineering team with various project assignments and technical tasks. This is a full-time, paid position running from approximately May 17, 2027, through August 20, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical drawings to help with troubleshooting.
- Verify as-built conditions and update drawings accordingly.
- Assist engineering staff with ongoing projects.
- Generate tracking reports.
- Support the annual Family Night event, including setup and cleanup.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an EAC/ABET accredited four-year Electrical Engineering program, having completed your sophomore year, or graduation within the last 12 months.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- A valid driver's license.
- You must attach a transcript to your application for it to be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous internship experience or relevant coursework is preferred.

- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Wage: $26.50 per hour.
- Note: This role is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection position, which may involve access to Bulk Electric System cyber assets.
