About the role#
The Graduate Pharmacy Intern works under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager to assist in the daily operations of the pharmacy. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care and supporting the overall business objectives of the pharmacy department.
What you'll do#
- Assist with pharmacy operations, including customer service, inventory management, expense control, and sales growth.
- Perform duties related to the preparation, dispensing, and sale of prescription and pharmacy products under pharmacist supervision.
- Deliver Pharmacy Care programs such as immunizations, injections, and testing.
- Monitor patient outcomes to ensure therapeutic success and minimize adverse drug effects.
- Ensure the location remains in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as company policies.
- Consult with patients regarding drug therapy plans, interactions, and adherence.
What you'll need#
- Graduate of a Pharmacy School with a BS or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
- Current state-issued license for a Pharmacy Intern in the state of practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer relations skills and the ability to maintain a professional service environment.
- Demonstrated sound business ethics.
