About the role#
The Pharmacy Intern supports the daily operations of the pharmacy under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager. You will assist in managing inventory, controlling expenses, and meeting business objectives while maintaining compliance with all policies and legal requirements. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care and building professional relationships with customers.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service and assist in the preparation, dispensing, and sale of prescriptions.
- Deliver Pharmacy Care programs, including immunizations, injections, and testing.
- Monitor patients to ensure positive therapeutic outcomes and minimize adverse drug effects.
- Consult with patients to explain drug therapy plans and potential interactions.
- Participate in adherence programs to support pharmacy performance goals.
- Help optimize pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and financial performance.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager and Store Director with operational updates and store programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- A state-issued Pharmacy Intern license for the state of Nevada.
- An Immunization Certificate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under time constraints.
- Ability to pass a drug test, as this is a safety-sensitive position.
