About the role#
The Graduate Pharmacy Intern works under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager to support daily pharmacy operations. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care and contributing to the business objectives of the pharmacy, including sales goals, inventory management, and expense control.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the operation of the pharmacy, including customer service, inventory purchasing, and management.
- Prepare, dispense, and sell prescription and pharmacy-related products under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Monitor patients to ensure positive therapeutic outcomes and minimize adverse drug effects.
- Provide patient consultations regarding drug therapy plans and potential drug interactions.
- Participate in pharmacy care programs such as immunizations, testing, and medication adherence platforms.
- Support the pharmacy team in optimizing workflow, financial performance, and customer experience.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Valid state-issued Pharmacy Intern license in the state of practice.
- Valid state-issued Pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Current Immunization Certificate.
- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, and Word.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under time constraints.
