About the role#
The Graduate Pharmacy Intern works under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager to support daily pharmacy operations. You will assist in managing pharmacy business objectives, including inventory control, expense management, and sales performance. This role involves providing patient-centered care and maintaining compliance with all pharmacy laws and company policies.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, dispense, and sell prescription and pharmacy products under pharmacist supervision.
- Monitor patient health to ensure positive therapeutic outcomes and identify potential adverse drug effects.
- Consult with patients regarding drug therapy plans and potential interactions.
- Participate in pharmacy care programs, including immunizations, injections, and testing.
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with workflow optimization, inventory management, and customer service initiatives.
- Support store programs designed to increase prescription volume and meet sales goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Valid state-issued Pharmacy Intern license for the state of employment.
- Valid state-issued Pharmacist license for the state of employment.
- Required Immunization Certificate.
- Ability to pass a drug test, as this is a safety-sensitive position.
- Permanent residency in California or Nevada.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Access.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
