About the role#
Balfour Beatty Management, Inc. is hiring a part-time Tax Intern for our North American Tax Headquarters in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. This is a permanent position requiring 15-20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing income, partnership, and franchise tax returns along with supporting workpapers.
- Prepare amended returns of minor complexity.
- Analyze and reconcile OneSource cash tax reports to the operating company general ledger.
- Help prepare and review depreciation expense schedules.
- Maintain the tax calendar and fixed asset system.
- Investigate and resolve state tax notices.
- Collect data to support management and operating personnel during tax audits.
- Research state and local tax rules for project bid requests.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a sophomore or junior pursuing a BS in Accounting.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a group.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
