About the role#
Balfour Beatty is seeking students for Intern or Co-Op positions based in Georgia. These roles are available for the Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Summer 2027 terms. You will work on-site and receive compensation for your contributions.
What you'll do#
- Manage project budgets by tracking expenditures and coordinating billings.
- Support office operations by following company procedures and the Operations Manual.
- Review submittal data and shop drawings while coordinating deliveries with the Superintendent.
- Monitor status reports, subcontractor meeting minutes, and change orders.
- Maintain logs for RFIs and change requests.
- Assist with Safety and Quality Control programs.
- Attend meetings with architects and owners to understand project reporting and issue resolution.
- Update as-built plans with changes, clarifications, and directives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering program.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with word processing and spreadsheets.
- Good self-organization, management, and communication skills.
- Ability to learn new skills and knowledge quickly.
- Willingness to participate in training, seminars, and team meetings.
- An expanding knowledge of construction details such as metals, casework, and doors.
- Prior commercial construction experience is helpful but not required.
