Stadium Operations Intern

About the role#

The Stadium Operations Intern supports the daily maintenance and event execution at Nymeo Field. This part-time role provides hands-on experience in facility management for a 5,000-seat ballpark. You will work directly with the operations and grounds staff to ensure the stadium remains safe, functional, and ready for Frederick Keys home games and outside events.

What you'll do#

• Prepare the stadium for game days by checking fixtures and cleaning surfaces.
• Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of the fun zone and other event areas.
• Help manage parking logistics, including the placement of barriers.
• Shadow the operations team to learn about facility inspections, vendor reviews, and invoice organization.
• Support inventory management and the ordering of supplies.
• Execute promotional activities in coordination with marketing and sales teams.
• Assist with the organization of Kids Run the Bases after home games.
• Maintain and organize storage spaces throughout the facility.

What you'll need#

• Current status as a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.
• You must be receiving academic credit for this internship.
• Ability to work on your feet for long periods, climb ladders, and lift 50 pounds.
• Experience or comfort with the safe operation of small engine equipment like leaf blowers and string trimmers.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks on time.
• Availability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays.

• This position is based on-site in Frederick, Maryland.
• This is an unpaid internship.
