About the role#
The Partnership Activations Intern supports the Frederick Keys by gaining practical experience in professional sports operations. This part-time role is designed for students receiving academic credit. You will observe how the organization functions while developing skills in communication, sponsor fulfillment, and activation.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Sponsorship Sales Account Managers to learn about client servicing and sales.
- Research and identify potential business opportunities for sponsorship.
- Maintain partner documentation, including contact information and logs for Proof of Performance pieces.
- Assist with partnership fulfillment by tracking deadlines, deliverables, and communication.
- Represent the organization at community events and appearances.
- Work Frederick Keys home games to meet with sponsors, assist with client check-ins, and execute activations.
- Take, sort, and inventory photos of in-game sponsorship activations.
- Practice clear and friendly phone manners while helping the sponsorship team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in Sport Management, Business Management, or a related field.
- Ability to receive academic credit for this internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a dedicated team player mindset.
- Knowledge of Sponsor CX and Sponsor United is a plus.

- Location: Frederick, Maryland.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Availability: Must be able to work event nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- This is an unpaid internship.
