About the role#
The Sales and Hospitality Intern supports the Frederick Keys by gaining practical experience in professional sports operations. This part-time, on-site role focuses on ticket sales, fan engagement, and event execution. You will work directly with our sales team to learn the business side of the organization while supporting game day activities at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium.
What you'll do#
- Assist with grass roots advertising and prospecting for group events.
- Research and identify potential clients for group ticket sales and sponsorships.
- Make outbound calls and manage incoming phone inquiries.
- Shadow Group and Sponsorship Sales Account Managers to learn client service strategies.
- Represent the organization at community events and appearances.
- Support non-gameday events held at the stadium.
- Set up and take down hospitality areas for events.
- Host group birthday parties and manage hospitality spaces like suites and picnics.
- Engage with fans in the seating bowl and provide service at Nymeo Guest Services.
- Execute on-field group activities, including Anthem Buddies, parades, and color guards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Ability to receive college credit for this internship.
- Academic focus in Sport Management, Business Management, Marketing, or Sales.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail.
- Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A dedicated, energetic, and professional approach to customer service.
