About the role#
Attain Sports is seeking a Public Relations Intern for the Summer 2027 season. This role provides hands-on experience in sports communications and media operations. This is an unpaid position, and you must be earning college credit to participate.
What you'll do#
- Support the Creative Media and Broadcasting Manager with public and media relations plans.
- Manage daily baseball information, including creating and distributing rosters, game notes, and stat packs.
- Handle inbound media inquiries and assist with interview coordination.
- Create content for social media and PR materials.
- Write and distribute game recaps, box scores, and press releases.
- Maintain the team website and update in-stadium signage.
- Manage team records and the media guide.
- Assist with in-game and postgame social media posts, including clipping game highlights.
- Support press box and broadcast operations, including radio inventory management and potential on-air contributions.
- Help with various marketing and promotional tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year degree program in communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Current standing that allows you to earn internship credit.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain effective time management.
- Availability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Bowie, Maryland.
- The internship is on-site.
- Availability is required between April and September, with flexibility based on your academic schedule.
