About the role#
The Community Outreach and Stadium Events Intern will support the Frederick Keys marketing and events teams. This part-time role provides hands-on experience in event management, community engagement, and sports marketing. You will work directly with our staff to plan and execute events both at Nymeo Field and within the community.
What you'll do#
- Promote the Keys at community events and distribute marketing materials.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing community outreach strategies.
- Support social media coverage for public appearances and off-site events.
- Help manage administrative tasks related to event planning.
- Work Frederick Keys home games and events at Nymeo Field.
- Assist with specific programs such as Scout Night and Baseball Camp.
- Represent the organization at public appearances, including serving as the mascot Keyote when needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Must be receiving academic credit for this internship.
- Major in Sport Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A dedicated, enthusiastic approach to teamwork and customer service.
- Willingness to listen, learn, and accept constructive feedback.
- Previous experience in event planning or community outreach is helpful but not required.
