About the role#
Pleasanton RAGE is looking for an Event Coordinator / Fan Experience Intern for the 2027 USL W League season. You will work with the Head Coach and Event Manager to plan and deliver game day experiences for our fans. This role is unpaid and designed for students seeking college course credit. The schedule is typically under 20 hours per week, with specific hours determined at the start of the internship.
What you'll do#
- Pre-plan game day events, including organizing vendors, food trucks, lawn games, and securing sponsorships.
- Promote events to local businesses, schools, and sports clubs.
- Coordinate set up at all home games to ensure the event runs smoothly.
- Manage fan engagement activities during every event.
- Execute pre and post-match activations.
- Facilitate and monitor halftime events for youth players and ball girls.
- Maintain a visible presence to answer guest questions and provide hospitality.
- Assist with post-event evaluations and analysis.
What you'll need#
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Access to a mobile phone for communication.
- Availability to attend the majority of home matches.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends on match days.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with staff, players, and fans.
- A passion for soccer and a basic understanding of the sport is preferred.
