About the role#
Pleasanton RAGE is looking for a Communications Intern to join the team for the 2027 USL season. You will work with the USL W League Head Coach to share stories about our players, staff, fans, and partners. This role is unpaid and designed for students seeking college credit, with a schedule of less than 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Write game previews, recaps, and feature stories for the team website.
- Provide live match updates on social media.
- Build and run email marketing and social media campaigns.
- Design graphics to accompany your written content.
What you'll need#
- Experience producing published written content, such as work for student media, blogs, or newspapers.
- A laptop that can run design software.
- Ability to handle confidential information and maintain professionalism in media work zones.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
- Your own transportation to reach our training facility, games, and events.
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Teams, is a plus.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
