About the role#
ATS Traffic is looking for an HR Co-op Student to join our team in Langley for an 8-month term. This is a full-time, paid position. You will work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This role provides an introduction to the HR field within the construction and manufacturing industry. You will support our recruitment efforts for seasonal and entry-level positions.
What you'll do#
You will manage the full-cycle recruitment process. Your daily tasks include:
- Creating and posting job advertisements.
- Reviewing resumes and applications.
- Selecting candidates and conducting preliminary phone interviews.
- Scheduling and conducting interviews, then debriefing with hiring managers.
- Performing reference checks for permanent entry-level roles.
- Preparing offer letters and employment documentation.
- Scheduling pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
- Preparing recruitment reports for leadership.
- Setting up new employee orientations and coordinating with departments like Health and Safety.
- Assisting HR Business Partners with various administrative duties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program for Human Resources, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Preference for 3rd and 4th year students.
- Completed coursework in HR, recruitment, employee relations, and health and safety.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple vacancies at once.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to learn new software like our HRIS program.

- Compensation: $23 to $25 per hour, based on experience.
