About the role#
The Student Project Coordinator supports Project Managers and Senior Technical Leads in executing reactor inspection programs, major nuclear refurbishment, and new-nuclear projects. You will join a team of project and engineering personnel, performing tasks in engineering and project administration. This role involves obtaining security clearance for CANDU Energy facilities and potentially customer sites. You may also be assigned to short-term field service projects during customer outages, which may include work in radiological environments.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and document project and customer meetings.
- Collect project data and support schedule updates.
- Track and update project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain project lessons learned records.
- Assist with document management and administrative systems.
- Perform administrative and analytical reviews.
- Complete self-study of required CANDU procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 3+ year university degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- Previous experience supporting projects in construction, manufacturing, engineering, or technical environments.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through student organizations or extracurricular activities.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to safety, integrity, and professionalism.
- A customer-focused mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Locations: Mississauga or Pickering, Ontario.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Term: Rolling, with durations of 12 or 16 months depending on availability.
- Status: Full-time, paid position.
