About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Rail & Transit Engineering Intern for our New York office. This is a paid, part-time position for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site to assist our teams with infrastructure projects and gain hands-on experience in the engineering services industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings.
- Perform data acquisition, analysis, and routine engineering calculations.
- Collect field data and participate in construction-related observations.
- Document construction progress and gather quality-control data.
- Support project management by tracking deliverables and coordinating cross-functional activities.
- Compile project documentation and assist with daily business operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward your degree by the start of the internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Basic computer and math skills for data entry and simple calculations.
