About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will join our Nuclear Engineering team in Mississauga to gain hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary environment. We offer placements of 4, 8, 12, or 16 months starting in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support Engineers, Designers, and Engineering Managers with daily project tasks.
- Help develop and assemble engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional mechanical systems.
- Assist with mechanical design activities, equipment assessments, and technical evaluations.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in Request for Information (RFI) activities.
- Attend technical and project meetings to support delivery.
- Ensure project work follows internal Quality Assurance Programs.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program at an accredited Canadian institution.
- Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to practical solutions.
- Understanding of mechanical systems, technical documentation, and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with tools like MATLAB, MathCAD, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or Revit is an asset.
