About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is looking for an ITS & Traffic Engineering Intern to join our team in Austin, Texas, for the Summer 2027 term. This is a part-time, on-site, paid internship position.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and operations support.
- Compile data and prepare reports.
- Use software like CAD to produce schematics, drawings, and design plans.
- Assist with the preparation of design plans and traffic signal models.
- Coordinate within your unit to ensure consistency with policies and procedures.
- Participate in project and organization meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
- Completion of at least 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred.

- Compensation: $25 to $31 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
