About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is hiring an Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in our Bothell, Washington office. This is a paid, part-time internship designed for students to gain hands-on experience under the mentorship of our engineering team.
What you'll do#
- Interpret and analyze engineering drawings including P&IDs, electrical schematics, and loop diagrams.
- Review and verify engineering drawings for accuracy.
- Maintain and update data in engineering databases and software tools.
- Perform engineering tasks such as sizing instrumentation and control valves.
- Design process control logic.
- Participate in the Explore intern development initiative, which includes site visits and educational sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward your degree by the start of the internship.
- Academic enrollment in an ABET accredited program.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred but not required.

- Compensation: $25 to $31 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
