About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Student for the Summer 2027 term, you will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects across several key engineering disciplines. This is a full-time, paid position that offers exposure to diverse sectors, including power, telecommunications, automation, and infrastructure.
What you'll do#
Your specific responsibilities will depend on the team you join. You may be involved in the following areas:
- Work on the production, distribution, and management of electrical energy.
- Design systems to convert and control electrical energy.
- Develop and maintain communication systems.
- Develop control systems to automate processes.
- Work on electrical systems for vehicles and transport infrastructures.
- Design electrical distribution, power, lighting, grounding, and building service systems.
- Support the design, testing, commissioning, and optimization of hydroelectric turbine-generator systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver renewable energy projects.
- Design fire protection and sprinkler systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
