About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Henderson, Nevada. This internship provides hands-on experience and mentorship from professionals across our business. You will participate in our intern development initiative, which includes site visits and educational sessions.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the organization of engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Support engineering investigations by collecting data, performing basic analyses, and completing routine calculations.
- Contribute to technical reports by preparing assigned sections and compiling project information.
- Help with construction-related activities, such as reviewing shop drawings, tracking project progress, and observing construction operations.
- Gather and analyze project data regarding design alternatives, site conditions, and regulations.
- Prepare presentations, permit application materials, and other project documents.
- Perform engineering calculations under supervision.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
- Completion of at least 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D is preferred.
