About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is hiring an Aviation Civil Engineering Intern for our Orlando office. This role provides hands-on experience and mentorship for students interested in airport infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced staff to support the design and development of civil engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design and production of engineering plans for runways, taxiways, aprons, and parking lots.
- Contribute to airfield geometric design, pavement design, and airport lighting projects.
- Perform construction field observations at project sites.
- Attend weekly construction meetings.
- Assist with project quantity take-offs.
- Participate in the company intern development initiative.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering program.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to engineering ethics and standards of conduct.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25 to $31 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
- Employment type: Part-time, paid internship.
