About the role#
The Assembly & Test Co-op Student will provide hands-on support to the Manufacturing Team. You will assist with assembly, testing, production documentation, and process improvement activities. This role involves working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Production personnel.
What you'll do#
- Assist with mechanical and testing activities.
- Support equipment setup, inspections, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain production, test, and quality documentation.
- Assist with ERP data entry and production tracking.
- Work from engineering drawings, procedures, and work instructions.
- Support tooling, material, equipment, and work-area organization.
- Participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a relevant Engineering, Engineering Technology, Technician, or Skilled Trades program.
- Strong mechanical or technical aptitude with an interest in hands-on manufacturing.
- Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using standard computer applications.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation is an asset.
- Previous manufacturing, shop, assembly, or technical experience is an asset.
- ERP experience is an asset.
