About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is hiring an Archaeological Intern to support our cultural resource management projects. This is a paid, part-time position for Summer 2027 based in either Tampa or Tallahassee, Florida. You will work on-site and participate in our intern development initiative, which includes mentorship, client site visits, and weekly learning sessions.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and operational support for cultural resource management projects.
- Conduct archaeological fieldwork under supervision, including pedestrian survey, shovel testing, and data recovery.
- Assist with artifact processing, data entry, and curation.
- Help prepare site forms and produce figures for reports.
- Support desktop survey and consultation activities.
- Work in diverse environmental conditions.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 60 hours toward a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data entry skills.
- Physical ability to work outdoors, walk long distances, stoop, squat, and carry up to 40 pounds of equipment.
