About the role#
The Supplier Quality Engineer Intern will help develop manufacturing processes and quality systems within the Astranis supply chain. You will work with both established and new suppliers to address quality issues, refine inspection methods, and qualify new technologies for space applications. This is a full-time, paid internship scheduled for Winter 2027.
What you'll do#
- Lead failure mode and root cause analyses, including the implementation of corrective actions.
- Create quality requirements and specifications.
- Develop inspection and testing plans, as well as define methods for re-processing and repair.
- Track supplier performance and the status of purchased parts to report to management.
- Assist with manufacturing process development directly at supplier sites.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for engineering, business, supply chain, or a related field.
- Proven ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, including the ability to balance multiple projects.
- Experience in manufacturing, quality management systems, inspection methods, metrology, or reading technical drawings is preferred.

- Compensation: $29.00 per hour.
