About the role#
This internship is a twelve-week, full-time position for students currently enrolled in a four-year university. You will contribute to design validation and measurement automation of RF hardware for new satellite designs.
What you'll do#
- Measure and validate the performance of LNAs, power amplifiers, up/down converters, filters, and oscillators.
- Write code to automate and speed up measurement processes.
- Document test plans, measurement methodologies, and data for review.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program in electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied physics, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of basic RF concepts, including transmission lines, S-parameters, and RF building blocks like amps, mixers, and attenuators.
- Experience with Python and object-oriented programming.
- Practical experience taking RF measurements using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
- A strong interest in hardware development and hands-on design.
- Bonus points for background in antennas, electromagnetics propagation, Software Defined Radios (SDR), or RF measurement automation.

- Compensation: $29.00 per hour.
- Eligibility: This position requires U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status to comply with space technology export regulations.
