    About the role#

    As a Propulsion Test Intern, you will oversee the definition of test plans for propulsion components and systems. You will manage the design and build of test equipment, execute testing, and ensure all industry requirements are met. This role requires balancing technical needs with cost and schedule constraints while working across different teams.

    What you'll do#

    • Design, build, test, and qualify hardware and test equipment for propulsion systems.
    • Perform design, analysis, and trade studies for test equipment at the component and system level.
    • Develop and execute test plans.
    • Collaborate with other teams to complete projects.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering degree program.
    • A history of personally designing, building, and testing hardware from scratch.
    • A desire to fix broken equipment, processes, or communication gaps.
    • Experience building or testing liquid propulsion systems is a plus.
    • Proficiency in Python.
    • Familiarity with technical standards, test plans, and MES/ERP software.
    • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco.

    • Location: San Francisco, California.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Compensation: $29.00 per hour.
    • Work status: This role requires U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or protected individual status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
