About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site internship for Winter 2027. You will work on pre-sales and post-sales network architecture and planning. The role balances technical engineering tasks with business and customer-facing responsibilities. You will receive 1:1 mentorship from a senior sales engineer throughout the term.
What you'll do#
- Optimize high throughput satellite networks by balancing dozens of parameters.
- Perform digital payload configuration and orbital slot selection.
- Conduct frequency planning and antenna system optimization.
- Define user coverage areas and select gateway locations.
- Select and configure networking and modem equipment.
- Create and deliver technical presentations to potential partners.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year university program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to optimize systems by managing multiple variables and performing detailed trade studies.
- A process-oriented mindset focused on efficiency and tool improvement.
- Experience with scripting languages, preferably Python.
- A strong aptitude for mathematics.
- Ability to answer technical questions from partners clearly.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required to comply with export regulations.
