About the role#
This internship is a 12-week, full-time position for students currently enrolled at a four-year university. You will work on pre-sales and post-sales network architecture and planning. The role involves optimizing high throughput satellite networks by balancing various technical parameters. You will receive 1:1 mentorship from a senior sales engineer to support your growth.
What you'll do#
- Optimize high throughput satellite networks.
- Configure digital payloads and manage orbital slot selection and frequency planning.
- Define user coverage areas and select gateway and user terminal locations.
- Select and configure networking and modem equipment.
- Work on complex technical problems.
- Craft and deliver high-quality presentations to potential partners.
- Answer challenging technical questions from partners.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a four-year university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Ability to optimize systems by managing multiple variables and conducting trade studies.
- A process-oriented mindset focused on efficiency.
- Experience with scripting languages, preferably Python.
- A strong aptitude for math.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, less than 10% of the time.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status to comply with export regulations.
