About the role#
Astranis is hiring an FPGA Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in San Francisco. You will work on hardware development projects alongside electrical and software engineers.
What you'll do#
- Develop RTL for FPGA targeted applications.
- Work with various FPGAs and toolchains.
- Interface FPGAs with peripherals such as high-speed data converters, memories, and MCUs.
- Write software to interface and test RTL in hardware.
- Collaborate with the electrical and software engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- US Citizenship or Green Card status is required.
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Proficiency with Verilog or SystemVerilog for synthesis.
- Experience designing, implementing, and testing high-throughput systems on FPGAs.
- A strong interest in hands-on hardware design and development.
