About the role#
Astranis is looking for a Flight Software Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, hourly role based on-site in San Francisco. Internships typically last for twelve weeks. You will work alongside our engineering team to contribute to real satellite projects.
What you'll do#
- Design, write, and test software for our satellite systems.
- Develop embedded software that runs directly on satellites.
- Build ground control and testing software.
- Work on challenging projects alongside our full-time engineering staff.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
- Experience using C/C++ and at least one scripting language.
- A demonstrated ability to design, write, and test software from scratch.
- Bonus points for experience with bare metal embedded systems, real time operating systems, or FPGA and DSP programming.

- Pay: $29.00 per hour.
