About the role#
As a CAD Engineer Intern, you will contribute to the development of our spacecraft hardware. We provide our interns with the opportunity to work on complex projects alongside our engineering team. This is a full-time, hourly role lasting for twelve weeks during the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for the spacecraft and its supporting structures.
- Maintain and improve our design library and data infrastructure.
- Develop, ideate, and document practices that enable efficient design.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, mathematics, or industrial design.
- Experience with SolidWorks, GD+T, and engineering drawings.
- A passion for hardware development and hands-on work.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or protected individual status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
Preferred qualifications include experience with complex assemblies, spaceflight components, vacuum compatible systems, and surface modeling.
