About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work directly with the avionics engineering team on flight hardware. This role is based on-site at our headquarters in San Francisco, California. The position pays $29.00 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Build and test flight hardware alongside the avionics team.
- Design test equipment to validate hardware under stressed conditions.
- Bring up and debug designs in the lab.
- Write code to evaluate performance and automate satellite hardware testing.
- Assist with low-level software to interface with spacecraft subsystems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in electrical or computer engineering.
- Experience with Python or C++.
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card status.
- Interest in spacecraft systems and hands-on hardware development.
- Experience with Altium Designer or other PCB design software is a plus.
- Familiarity with SPICE-based simulators like LTSpice, PSPICE, or ADS.
- Comfort with soldering and rework.
- Familiarity with standard lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
- Familiarity with switched mode converter design, including boost and buck converters.
