About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work alongside the avionics engineering team to contribute to satellite hardware development. This role is based on-site in San Francisco, California.
What you'll do#
- Build and test flight hardware.
- Design test equipment to validate designs under stressed conditions.
- Bring up and debug new designs in the lab.
- Write code to evaluate performance and automate satellite hardware testing.
- Assist with low-level software to interface with various spacecraft subsystems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in electrical or computer engineering, or a related technical degree.
- Experience with Python or C++.
- A demonstrated ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card status.
- An interest in spacecraft systems and hands-on hardware development.
- Experience with Altium Designer or other PCB design software is a plus.
- Familiarity with SPICE-based simulators like LTSpice, PSPICE, or ADS.
- Comfort with soldering, rework, and standard lab equipment like oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.
- Familiarity with basic switched mode converter design, such as boost and buck converters.
