About the role#
As an Antenna Intern, you will join our payload team to design, build, and test antenna systems for our satellite missions. You will collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and payload system engineers to support both ongoing and next-generation satellite projects. This is a full-time, paid internship lasting twelve weeks.
What you'll do#
- Design high-performance communications antenna systems.
- Work with vendors to procure antenna and RF components.
- Validate component performance through anechoic chamber testing.
- Co-design antenna components in partnership with mechanical, structural, and thermal engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a four-year university in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- A fundamental understanding of electromagnetics, including antenna fundamentals, impedance matching, transmission lines, and circuit matching.
- Experience measuring components with vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal sources.
- Proficiency with design tools such as CST, HFSS, or TICRA.
- Ability to use Python or Matlab for engineering scripting.
- A creative approach to solving complex engineering challenges.

- This role is located on-site in San Francisco, California.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Pay: $29.00 per hour.
