About the role#
Assurant is hiring a part-time SOX Audit Intern to join our Financial Controls SOX Department. This role supports Sarbanes-Oxley compliance needs across multiple business segments. You will work remotely and receive a pay rate of $25 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Support SOX management testing.
- Assist with Model Audit Rule (MAR) management testing.
- Help implement new internal processes.
- Provide support to external audit teams.
- Take on additional assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an Accounting or Finance degree.
- Status as a Junior (graduating in 2028) or a Senior planning to pursue a master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word, and Adobe.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects under tight deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A team-oriented working style and the ability to collaborate effectively.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote.
- The role is part-time, requiring 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours during summer or other breaks.
- This is a rolling internship opportunity.
