About the role#
The Vending/Concessions Student Assistant supports food service operations during Wildcat Athletics events. This is a part-time position with a variable schedule, typically involving evening and weekend hours. You will work between 8 and 20 hours per week while school is in session.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and serve food as directed.
- Set up, clean, and replenish service areas, dining rooms, and dishwashing stations.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and department operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment.
- Notify supervisors if you see a safety or policy violation.
- Provide quality service to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at CSU, Chico.
- Maintain at least 6 units as an undergraduate or 4 units as a graduate student.
- Ability to obtain a California Food Handlers card within 30 days of hire.
- Basic customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
