About the role#
Aspen Publishing is seeking Course Assistants for the JD-Next program during the Fall 2026 term. This internship supports aspiring law students enrolled in an online course designed to prepare them for law school admissions and academic success. You will work 8-10 hours per week, providing virtual support to a cohort of students.
What you'll do#
- Provide individualized feedback on weekly student discussion posts.
- Track student progress and participation, checking in with those who fall behind.
- Send weekly summaries to students highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
- Answer student questions and encourage course engagement.
- Hold 30 minutes of scheduled office hours per week.
- Flag recurring questions for FAQ updates and collect student feedback.
- Record and post a welcome video to the course website.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and maintain accurate records of work hours and daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current or rising 2L/3L law student status or recent law school graduate.
- Understanding of Contract Law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to record and post videos and use video conferencing software like Zoom or Teams.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to provide constructive written feedback.
- Previous experience as a TA, mentor, or tutor is strongly preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position based in the United States.
- The internship is paid at a rate of $20 per hour.
- Training begins the week of August 31, 2026.
- Cohorts begin on September 14, 2026, and December 7, 2026.
