About the role#
This position is a hands-on grounds maintenance role. You will help keep the community garden cared for and inviting for visitors and community members. You will also assist with garden events and seasonal tasks.
What you'll do#
- Manage greenhouse operations, including opening and closing the facility.
- Weed and water greenhouse and community garden plots.
- Maintain greenhouse structures.
- Water and trim fruit trees.
- Weed and maintain Kentucky native plant plots.
- Spray and weed gravel paths and fire pit areas.
- Mow the garden lawn.
- Assist with seasonal needs and garden events.
What you'll need#
- Ability to perform hands-on garden maintenance.
- Ability to work outdoors in various conditions.
- Willingness to handle physical tasks like weeding, watering, and mowing.
