About the role#
The Event Recording Technical Intern helps preserve chapel services for the Asbury Theological Seminary community. You will assist the Helpdesk and the Office of the Chapel to ensure services are recorded, edited, and accessible. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role based in Wilmore, Kentucky.
What you'll do#
- Operate in-chapel video recording equipment for weekly services and special events.
- Edit recorded chapel services and upload them to cloud storage.
- Manage hardware used for recording and editing tasks.
- Track equipment needs and report malfunctions to the Event Technology Specialist.
- Monitor storage space on capture computers to ensure capacity for upcoming events.
- Generate transcripts and captions for chapel services.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or background in Communications or Media Studies.
- Familiarity with chapel video recording systems and the ability to operate this equipment.
- Experience with streaming and capture hardware or software.
- Understanding of video editing and cloud storage workflows.
